Statement of Need
The survival and prosperity of any Organization is dependent on the work of its human resources. Corporate Directors, Managers, Supervisors and others working in an organization are part of its human capital. Whereas Top managers are hired to think and plan others are there to operate the plans. The right combination of professional technical and administrative staff requires that there should be an effective system of human capital management. Effective management institutionalize effective Human Capital Policies, procedures, rules and regulations that and strategically needed for effective performance. Schemes of service, Salary Structures, motivation packages, staff training development and evaluation plans need to be in place and reviewed regularly. This demands that Officers at all levels in the human resource department are qualified and competent and play their rightful roles at all times. For this to happen they must also he committed to the course of HCM and possess the right values and believes. This programme will ensure realization of that goal.

Objectives of the Programme
By the end of the programme participants will be knowledge able and skilled hence able to:

  • Assist the organization to come up with the right philosophy, values, beliefs and structure
  • Design and operationalize human capital policies in all areas such as recruitment and selection, performance management, reward management, and training and development
  • Effectively evaluate performance of the department and staff report and recommend action to senior management
  • Ensure that employees across the board are happy motivated, committed and dedicated to their work for the good of the organizations and their own good
